Pergolas
Pergolas are mainly used for protection from the sun and are constructed over sitting areas or koa ponds. They can also be used for creating a tunnel of scented climbers over a pathway. Pergolas are mainly built from timber but can also be fabricated from steel. Upright posts carry the weight of the interlocking beamed structure. Best results come from growing climbers such as clematis, wisteria and grape vines over the top of the pergola.
